A tired 1960s office block has been transformed with a series of extensions, a new façade treatment and improved circulation.
An previous two storey extension at the front of the building has been demolished to make way for a new four storey one, and a two storey structure has been added at the rear, on a site that previously served as a carpark.
The tower's twelfth storey has been removed and a steel frame penthouse added in its place to house residential units. Additional plant supports an increased services requirement that includes air conditioning, and new lifts improve access.
Reducing depth of scree at each floor plate has streamlined the structure so that only localised strengthening to the existing foundation was required.
