3XN Architects wanted motor blinds with 220 mm wide slats as dynamic solar shading for Deloitte's headquarters in Copenhagen. The building has a double façade that allows for natural ventilation and the architects wanted a solution that could be placed inside the double façade.
We designed the solution, Syncro Blinds, that allows both high lifting heights and heavy loads.
The slats are made of aluminum and have their support points hidden in channels on the underside. This gives the slats a minimalistic look because they are not perforated as venetian blinds typically are.
Furthermore, this design feature makes the Syncro Blinds easy to clean and keep in repair.
