Designværkstedet, Designmuseum Danmark's design lab, is located in Frederiksstaden close to the museum and serves as a lecture room and workshop.
We developed the solar shading solution for Designværkstedet in collaboration with Bornebusch Tegnestue.
The solar shading solution consists of 10 motorized and 4 manually operated exterior vertical pivoting shutters. The shutter frames are made of galvanized steel, and the louvers are made of teak wood.
The solution plays a significant part in the overall aesthetic expression of the building, which blends with the listed buildings surrounding it.
