Submit your abstracts for Ramboll's marine session at SETAC Europe 2020

Ramboll’s Environment & Health team has a long-standing relationship with SETAC, a global organisation that supports the development of principles and practices for the protection, enhancement and management of sustainable environmental quality and ecosystem integrity.

We have had a large number of oral and technical poster sessions and exhibited at the European meeting over the last decade, and at next year’s event, Samantha Deacon (Bath, UK) will be co-chairing a session entitled Integrated Effect Assessments to Enable a Sustainable Future for the Marine Environment, which will form part of the environmental policy, risk management, and science communication programme. The objective of the session will be to demonstrate how science can contribute to shaping a sustainable relationship between humans and marine ecosystems, reduce current exploitation levels, and define new metrics for monitoring a healthy marine environment.

We are now asking for people to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations to fill this session. These should describe concepts, field and laboratory tools and knowledge needed to resolve marine issues. There will also be a focus on stressors to mechanisms and effects, methods for standardisation and analysis, multiple biomarker endpoints and systems thinking incorporating ecology, physiology and metabolism and genome mining to understand how organisms cope with change and predict long-term future risks.

Abstracts should be submitted by 27^th November. The submission is open to anybody working or studying in a related industry. Full details can be found on the SETAC Europe website.
