Engineering Consultant of the Year, Building Award Finalist
This prestigious achievement is a result of our efforts to support clients, protect our people and support society during recent unprecedented conditions. It recognises our ability to respond to the market, deliver sustainable and innovative solutions on world leading projects, and maintain high client satisfaction results.
Andrew Henderson, Country Market Director for Buildings in the UK, said about the nomination: “I’m incredibly proud to see us being recognised in this way. The award judges against criteria including our project work, service levels and ability to collaborate; our approaches during the pandemic, to sustainability and to innovation; and looks at how our organisation creates the right environment for our people and for future generations. To be shortlisted in such a category proves Ramboll is up there with the best and is a great place to be.”
Here are just some of the features from our submission for this award.
Projects: We featured showcase projects such as our work to develop net zero approaches before UKGBC or LETI guidance existed on Didsbury Technology Park, designing Europe’s largest most innovative hospital, Hillerod, using the world’s biggest Revit model, and the innovative approaches on Finsbury Avenue.
Pandemic: We shared how our Foundation support enabled us to protect jobs, how our approach to flexibility and digital ways of working supported the transition to home working, and the importance of our focus on mental health and wellbeing.
Sustainability: We showcased our strength in sustainability through fantastic projects such as on Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Scotland’s new Passivhaus Tain Academy, and the Green Store model for a supermarket retailer, as well as our climate action campaign, training and commitments.
Clients: We detailed our impressive client satisfaction scores and warm testimonials from British Land and BAS, and shared our commitment to client partnerships and innovation.
Culture: We demonstrated our commitment to diversity, inclusion, H&S and being a good corporate citizen, from showing our CSR efforts through the pandemic, through to our strides in people development and inspiring the next generation.
