(L-R) Outgoing Chair, Dan McGrail, Siemens, Tim Rotheray Director of the ADE, and Lucy Padfield incoming Chair.
As an impassioned and widely respected engineer, Lucy Padwick has been Chairing the ADE Heat Network Forum for some time now and her appointment as ADE Chair follows 2 years as a Board Member. Lucy succeeds Dan McGrail, CEO of Siemens Engines, with immediate effect.
Lucy commented: "I am honoured and totally delighted to take on this role. The decentralised energy sector will play a critical role in meeting the ambitious and inspiring target of a net zero emissions economy by 2050. Net zero can only be achieved with governments, regulators and industry working together to ensure that all energy users are beneficiaries of the low-carbon future. Decentralised Energy, and crucially the role of the energy user, has an integral role to play in the delivery of flexible, smart energy future.
The ADE has a pivotal task in representing how the decentralised energy sector can make a better, less wasteful energy system which allows all energy users to be part of that transition."
