The Ramboll Foundation has in collaboration with Ramboll’s Energy division engaged in the establishment of the Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI). CSEI will conduct research in tomorrow’s energy infrastructure from an economic policy point-of-view to ensure a successful transition towards a new sustainable European energy infrastructure. CSEI will be an institute under the Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School.
“CSEI is a strategically important research institution to support and influence. We are proud to take part in both securing the financial foundation for CSEI and – more importantly – to serve in the advisory board of the school,” says Thomas Rand, Managing Director of Ramboll Energy.
The Ramboll Foundation has supported the establishment of the CSEI with a donation of EUR 300,000 over a five-year period. With donations from the other partners – Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, GRTgaz, Gascade, Tennet Statnett, Energinet, Siemens and GD4S – the financial foundation of CSEI is in place, and CSEI is now recruiting a professor to lead the institute.
The partners have been joined by the European Commission in the advisory board for CSEI, where Thomas Rand will represent Ramboll.
At the Copenhagen Energy Infrastructure Forum in Copenhagen at the end of May, the advisory board met to discuss the strategic development of CSEI.
