Ramboll and Henning Larsen Architects have, together with partners, won an amazing project in Toronto, Canada, to transform the former Downsview Airport and surrounding land into a sustainable, resilient and healthy community.

Together with Danish architecture studio Dorte Mandrup and Bisgaard Landscape, Ramboll will help build the project ‘Kromet’ – a high-rise on Gothenburg’s riverfront – which will be the tallest timber structure in Sweden.

In Japan, growth on the offshore wind market is rapidly increasing, and with this new contract Ramboll will strengthen its position as market leader. Ramboll engineers will perform the detailed foundation design for a new offshore wind farm, which will be one of the largest in Japan.

Ramboll will assist the Irish Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) over the next four years with consultancy services and assignments that will significantly contribute to Ireland’s continuous interest in exploring more sustainable energy resources.

Network Rail has appointed the Atkins, PwC and Ramboll team as Rail Systems Integration Partner (RSIP) to bring about the transformation of the railway on the East Coast Main Line (ECML) through the deployment of modern and cost-effective digital signalling.

Denmark-based Ramboll has been chosen by the US energy company Dominion Energy to support development and engineering aspects of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project, which will become the largest offshore wind farm in the United States and one of the largest in the world.

Ramboll has been re-appointed as Technical Advisors for British Antarctic Survey (BAS), successfully winning the next phase of work in a series of projects to improve and modernise Antarctic research stations and infrastructure. The contract is valued at between £40-50 million and secures our involvement for a further 10 years.

Ramboll expert Dr.-ing Denis Matha was awarded the IEC 1906 Award. With this award, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) honours outstanding technical experts whose work is of fundamental importance.

The Swedish utility company Vattenfall has awarded Ramboll a framework agreement focused on developing the District Heating (DH) sector in the UK. Vattenfall has a solid presence in the UK market in terms of electricity generation, particularly in onshore and offshore wind, and has recently expanded its focus area towards strengthening the DH sector in the country.

Land Transport Authority (LTA), the statutory board of Government of Singapore responsible for planning and maintaining Singapore’s land transport infrastructure and systems, was looking for innovative and efficient solutions to collect traffic data nationwide. Ramboll’s global Smart Mobility division won the major traffic survey project valued more than 2.5 million Singapore dollars (1.7 million euros) from Land Transport Authority (LTA).
