WICE awards (European Women in Construction & Engineering Awards)
We had ten finalists across buildings, transport, energy and environment & health markets and ranged from graduates to directors. And our three winners were:
- Emily Scoones - Best woman in digital innovation and most distinguished winner of 2020
- Georgia Kokkinou - Best woman electrical and mechanical engineer
- Brogan MacDonald - Best young woman engineer
Wood awards
We were shortlisted for Buildings in Education and Public sector for Harris Academy. Harris Academy Sutton is the UK’s first Passivhaus secondary school and the largest Passivhaus school in the UK. The 4-storey, six-form school accommodates 1275 pupils and 95 staff. The building is clad with Douglas fir & has a European spruce glulam and CLT structure.
Structural timber awards
Ramboll received the Pioneer Award at the Structural Timber Awards for our contribution to pushing the boundaries of the material in its application to volumetric timber modules, our leading role in the work on the timber office concept, and inspiring social change with regards to mental health with the ‘Talk to Me’ sculpture.
