Emma Jones is a highly experienced project manager and technical lead. She has been working in environmental assessment and management since 1997 and carried out some of the first environmental assessments on public policy in the UK. Emma has previously worked for a number of local authorities and consultancy companies (Atkins and the Transport Research Laboratory) assessing a variety of different types of plan and project, developing new assessment methodologies and working for government bodies in a review role. Her main area of expertise is strategic environmental assessment (SEA), sustainability appraisal (SA) and environmental impact assessment ranging from assessment work on plans such as local transport plans, local development frameworks and local plans, regional planning strategies, minerals and waste local development frameworks and large development projects. Emma also has a track record in training and capacity building projects and has run and designed courses for a number of bodies including universities.
