Guy Collingwood joined our infrastructure team in 2007 as an Associate, becoming Associate Director in 2009 and Director in 2010.
Guy is responsible for leading the Infrastructure and Highways Group in London, developing the market strategy and driving technical excellence. He has extensive experience delivering projects both in the UK and internationally.
Guy joined us with more than a decade's experience as an infrastructure engineer, in which urban engineering and work with the aviation sector feature prominently. In both areas, his ability to deliver quality work to a very tight programme has proved critical. His full range of his infrastructure engineering experience extends across masterplanning, highway design, drainage (including sustainable drainage and water management systems), utility co-ordination, adoptions, flood risk and earthworks.
Guy also represents his discipline as part of Ramboll's Aviation Business Network sector group. His detailed knowledge and experience of derives from several years' work on the development of Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 before joining Ramboll; further, he has been associated with a range of projects at both Stansted and Gatwick airports. He is a frequent attendee at aviation conferences and a member of the multi-disciplinary British Aviation Group.
Guy is an adept communicator who emphasises cross-team understanding as central to the success of any project — particularly where specialist information and geographically disparate teams are involved. His considerable experience of taking complex projects from the earliest feasibility stages through to completion and handover sustains his understanding of the scope of information required. He frequently takes responsibility for the management of interfaces within the project team. His ongoing working relationships with the architects involved are a tribute to his success in this area
It is partly due to these strengths that Guy is increasingly involved in ambitious masterplanning projects worldwide. A skilled co-ordinator, he has a fine sense of the balance of priorities involved in making major schemes viable. Sustainable options for power and water supply, and water and waste management, are integral to his approach.
Guy is a Supervising Civil Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers and supports the training and development of graduates across the business.

Akbulak Club Resort
Akbulak Club Resort is a luxury leisure complex resort located in the south east of Kazakhstan, approximately 50km east of the former capital Almaty. The proposed development is laid over 980 hectares on a greenfield site, located at the foothills of the Tian Shan mountain range, which separates Kazakhstan and China. Assessments, provided by Ramboll, included information that could be used to forecast costs, enabling our client to consider possible phasing options.
