Duncan is a Director at Ramboll and has held a senior management position within the Construction Industry for over 30 years. Having served his apprenticeship with a major MEP contractor he moved into consultancy in 1986.
Duncan has developed a wealth of experience on a variety of large and prestigious mixed use schemes throughout the world. Through continual training and day to day practice management, he has developed his skills both in house and with external parties to ensure he develops teams whom deliver internationally acclaimed solutions, that are not only practical but are delivered both punctually and cost effectively.
As a proactive member of a number of the industry's institutions, he supports the aim to develop and promote innovative solutions that result in time, cost and energy savings. He also has a passion for developing and tailoring new and existing low carbon engineering technologies with the in house Ramboll specialists whilst mindful that the project team are key to the decision process. Duncan has produced designs in both Sub Zero and Sub Tropical environments and has lectured and chaired International conferences and acted as an expert witness.
Duncan enjoys working on challenging projects that inevitably provide the team with an opportunity to realize their potential.
Akbulak Club Resort is a luxury leisure complex resort located in the south east of Kazakhstan, approximately 50km east of the former capital Almaty. The proposed development is laid over 980 hectares on a greenfield site, located at the foothills of the Tian Shan mountain range, which separates Kazakhstan and China. Assessments, provided by Ramboll, included information that could be used to forecast costs, enabling our client to consider possible phasing options.
