Location

Our Chester city centre office is five to ten minutes walk from Chester Railway Station.


The Chester office offers a wide range of expertise covering building structures and services, civil engineering, infrastructure and environmental consultancy. We work closely with public and private sector clients to design bridges, highways, schools, universities, hospital, offices and other facilities. We are also proud to play our part in helping to reduce carbon emissions, advising on energy projects and waste recycling, and minimising the impact of projects on the environment.

Projects

Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal

Plans for Liverpool’s new permanent Cruise Terminal will replace the existing facility to create an exciting five-star experience for passengers. Ramboll is leading a multi-disciplinary technical team designing the new terminal and will stay involved until Scheme completion.

The Mersey Gateway - six lane toll bridge

Ramboll has played a significant role in the Mersey Gateway project, the central feature of the significant highway improvements between the M56 and Speke Road. It is a new six-lane cable-stayed tolled bridge across the Mersey Estuary between Runcorn and Widnes.

British Antarctic Survey

Appointed by NERC as Technical Advisors to BAS (British Antarctic Survey), Ramboll is providing specialist engineering and consultancy services for seven years. Delivering a host of projects in the Antarctic region and in the UK, BAS and its Technical Advisors are preparing for one of the world’s most advanced Polar research ships - the RRS Sir David Attenborough (SDA), which will be ready for operation in 2019.
