Your development

We set high standards for the development of our employees because we know investing in knowledge and skills enables us to deliver state-of-the-art solutions. Integral to development is empowering our staff. We believe in delegating authority where employees feel they are trusted and equipped to make the right decisions.

Development dialogues: Each year all employees have two formal development dialogues with their manager. During the dialogue, employee and manager give each other mutual feedback and create an individual development plan with employee goals. This is to ensure that employees know what is expected of them and that their individual development is nurtured and prioritised.

Career paths: In Ramboll, we believe that careers are, and should be, diverse. Ramboll has four different career paths; project management, specialist, market development and people management. But most importantly we want to nurture the individual talent of each employee and thus design development opportunities for them based on their individual role and experience. This makes it possible for all employees to grow within their current role and explore opportunities across the business.

Regardless of your career path, you’ll always be part of a team of qualified professionals in an international and dynamic workplace. In this way, we promote different skills and personalities to meet and cooperate across technical, organisational and national boundaries.

Professional networks: Ramboll has several examples of internal professional networks, where employees can learn and improve their skills within a specific field important to their daily work. These networks form the basis for the essential knowledge-sharing that contributes to the individual employee's development.

International opportunities: Undertaking international assignments can play a pivotal role in an individual’s overall career growth; broadening knowledge, boosting self-confidence and building personal character and leadership qualities. Whilst it can be tough to leave the comforts of home, international assignments are exciting and challenging; providing the opportunity to work abroad in a new technical, economic and cultural environment with new co-workers on various strategic projects.

Being part of a global platform creates a range of opportunities for assignments, in one of Ramboll Group’s overseas locations or working on a project in an emerging market.
