I joined Ramboll’s environmental planning division at the beginning of 2018 to work closely with technical specialists in different departments. I'm drafting proposals, screening letters, scoping reports and helping to co-ordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for various projects.
When I saw the job advert on LinkedIn, it was well defined so I knew exactly what I was letting myself in for. I researched the company and was moved by the sentiment behind Ramboll and the story of two engineers wanting to rebuild a war-torn society and intrigued by the impressive project portfolio, the innovative approaches and the breadth of opportunities on offer.
Ramboll’s approach is both holistic and highly scientific so I now have a solid base to work from.

Discovering where my interests lie
As part of my BSc in Environmental Science course at the University of York, I travelled to Peru, studying mammalian populations in the neotropical rainforest. After graduating I spent some time travelling and then worked as a research analyst before applying for a job with Ramboll.
Looking to the future
I’d like to gain a deeper understanding of technical impact assessments and become more hands-on.
